BEST ALBUNS OF 2016
by aCloudMaker blog

* * *

A year straight out of a Terry Guilliam film, with way more downs than ups and a lot of unsmiled smiles kept mid jawed at mid air in the whole of the year. When I heard Bowie had died it didn't hit me as hard. I watched the music video, I trembled at the metalinguistic death he summoned, but I was still unshaken. Nearly a year latter, after the insane political scatologies of the year, I was crying on my desk at 2 am when I heard Leo Cohen had passed away, and it was then that you want it darker hit me at its best.

12. The return of brazilian rapper Sabotage (murdered in the beginning of the 2000s), in a posthumous production,
was an event on its own. 11. Ever since their debut I felt like moving to Montreal to enjoy the dazzling momentum of Canadian rock, and its 2016 isn't in anyway less satiable. 10. I missed out on her boat at first.. I'm definitely not willing to commit the same mistake twice. 09. I'd marry this lady, she's an absolute genius.. but too caught on a watered down version of herself lately. 08. "O, M, G! they're fucking back", everybody said that.. everybody was right. 07. More robust than their last 4 ones. This is the kind of thing that makes you feel like crap when you realize you've been wasting your ears with other kind of stuff than this. 06.Whoever disliked this dude before have no further reasons to love him now: this thing is good and old Iggy, only with hardcore legendary friends, trying on new clothes in a sleepover party 05. So good and so powerful.. a true gem from the past, except it's not. This being out in 2017 is like having a sequel of Twin Peaks airing on cable (wait.. HELL YES!) 04. One of my favorite human beings in show busyness: Simon hasn't just kept up with his early game..
he's made an Olympics out of his carrier. 03. "Half my life.. Half my love", this thing is absolute gold! every new release by these lads is like having a new girlfriend (and believing to the bone she's the one) 02. Be glad you were alive to see this thing come out. This stuff isn't a cd.. it's rather a landmark. 01. If god himself recorded a human like album, it would have to be a prequel or a sequel to this thing.
